1. About JunkMojo
JunkMojo is a booking platform that connects customers with independent subcontractors who perform junk removal services. JunkMojo does not directly employ removal personnel and does not itself carry out any physical removal work. All junk removal services are performed exclusively by independent subcontractors. JunkMojo acts solely as a booking intermediary and is not a party to the service performed on-site.
2. Booking & Confirmation
Submitting a booking form on junkmojo.ca constitutes a request for service — it is not a guaranteed booking until you receive written or verbal confirmation from JunkMojo or the assigned subcontractor. You agree to provide accurate and complete information in your booking request. JunkMojo reserves the right to decline any booking at its sole discretion. Pricing is provided as an estimate; final pricing may vary based on actual volume or conditions.
3. Payment
Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation. Payment may be collected by JunkMojo or directly by the subcontractor, depending on the arrangement. All prices are in Canadian dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee. JunkMojo reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a booking in the event of subcontractor unavailability, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Ensure safe, clear access to the items for removal at the scheduled time
- Not include prohibited or hazardous materials without prior disclosure
- Be present at the service address or designate an authorized adult representative
- Ensure you have legal authority to dispose of all items presented for removal
6. Prohibited Items
The following items cannot be removed without prior arrangement and may be subject to additional fees or outright refusal:
- Hazardous waste, chemicals, or biohazardous materials
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Paint, oil, solvents, or other liquid waste
- Propane tanks, explosives, or flammable materials
- Medical sharps or pharmaceutical waste
- Any item that is illegal to possess or dispose of
Inclusion of prohibited items without disclosure may result in immediate cancellation of service without refund and may expose you to additional liability.
7. Insurance & Liability
JunkMojo does not hold general liability, commercial auto, or workers' compensation insurance. All removal services are performed by independent subcontractors, who are solely responsible for their own insurance coverage. By booking through JunkMojo, you acknowledge and accept this arrangement. Please refer to our Insurance Disclaimer for full details. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, JunkMojo shall not be liable for any property damage, personal injury, loss, or other claim arising from or related to services performed by subcontractors.
8. Subcontractor Relationship
Subcontractors engaged by JunkMojo are independent contractors, not employees or agents of JunkMojo. JunkMojo does not supervise, direct, or control the manner in which subcontractors perform removal services. JunkMojo is not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any subcontractor.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting JunkMojo at hello@junkmojo.ca. If informal resolution is not achieved, disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall JunkMojo's aggregate liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim. JunkMojo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.
11. Changes to These Terms
JunkMojo may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of junkmojo.ca after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
